WWE Hall of Famer, Michelle McCool’s husband, The Undertaker, is introduced to the stage. There is a momentary audio miscue. The Undertaker says it’s Las Vegas on a Friday night… he’s here for a good time, not a long time. It’s nice to be back with the WWE Universe. He’s not here as the Phenom or the Deadman. Tonight, he’s just Mark… or a mark. He’s a husband and a father, as well as a man who gets to honor one of the greatest people he has known in life and in this business.
Michelle McCool didn’t come into WWE with a famous last name or a promise. She came with working boots and went out to earn everything. The Undertaker clears his throat. She was so strong-headed that when they first got together (he looks behind him to make sure she’s not there), he says she chased him for months and wore him down. Undertaker chuckles and says that’s his story. McCool told him to never speak on her behalf. She meant it. He was a little taken aback, so he clapped back that when he does speak, she better listen. The crowd gasps. It was about three months before he could eat solid food again.
She was the first Divas Champion and the first woman to hold the Women’s and Divas Championship. She was one half of the iconic Lay-Cool. They redefined what it meant to be bold and fearless. They made being a mean girl cool. She was a pioneer before the Women’s Revolution had a name. The most amazing thing about her wasn’t just the titles, the gears, promos, or classic matches. It’s who she is when the camera isn’t rolling. First and foremost, she’s a woman of faith. She’s a mother who leads with love. She’s the strongest person in their family, and he says that without a hint of hesitation. She picked him up when he couldn’t get off the mat. She made him a better man, father, and person.
As announced by Paul “Triple H” Levesque on ESPN’s Get Up, Michelle McCool will enter the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2025.
Living by the motto “Faith to fight the good fight, heart to believe and soul to search within,” McCool unique journey took her from a Diva Search competitor to the top of the division and ultimately to the pantheon of greats in the WWE Hall of Fame.
Debuting on SmackDown in 2004 as a manager, McCool quickly learned that she wanted to a be a competitor in the ring instead and worked harder than ever to prove that she belonged, going on to make history by becoming the inaugural Divas Champion in 2008 and unifying that title with the WWE Women’s Championship in 2009.
Her tandem with fellow Superstar Layla led to the formation of LayCool, a dominant team that kept both McCool and Layla on top of the women’s division for years.
After retiring, McCool has made multiple surprise returns to WWE including in multiple Royal Rumble Matches, locking up with Superstars like Charlotte Flair, Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley.
From humble beginnings as a middle school science teacher to Divas Search competitor to now an undeniable legend, McCool takes her rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame in the Class of 2025.
We see Michelle McCool emerge from Smackdown WAR ROOM while Torrie Wilson emerges from Raw WAR ROOM.

Michelle McCool knew that it was her moment. When her music hit as she was sitting in the front row, Michelle McCool was ready to put on a show in front of her family and her home state.
We shoot to ring announcer Samantha Irvin, who informs us that it is now time for the 30-woman Royal Rumble match. With that said, she begins the brief explanation of the rules and when she wraps up, Rhea Ripley’s theme hits and out comes The Judgment Day member as entrant number one.
“It looks like mami is in for a long night,” says Corey Graves on commentary as she emerges from the back and heads down to the ring. She settles inside the squared circle and her music dies down.
Now in as the second entrant is former SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan. Michael Cole reminds us that Morgan claimed she wanted to enter this match in the number one spot. He says this is just as good.
Morgan and Ripley start the women’s Royal Rumble match off as the bell sounds to get this one underway. Ripley pounds the crap out of Morgan for the first minute or so and just as Morgan starts to take over on offense, Dana Brooke comes out as the third entrant. (more…)
We come back and WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon is introduced by Braxton and Graves. The “No Chance” music hits as Vince struts to the ring and fans cheer him on. The ring has several tall life-size mannequin-like silhouettes standing up, which look to be dressed in his various looks from over the years. Vince says even including holidays, this is his favorite night of the year because we as fans and performers have the chance to say thank you to the inductees. Vince says on this night we can reflect on the Superstars who have so mightily contributed to WWE success and entertaining people around the world, and touching our lives for the better. Vince says many have left a huge mark on the WWE Universe and the business itself. Vince says of all the performers inducted in the past, there is no one more deserving of the honor than the one we’re about to induct tonight. Vince says for 30 long, hard years this man has performed, through surgeries and everything else, it’s safe to say he’s been through hell and back. Vince says Taker has been in the ring with a long list of opponents. Vince says he’s going to name the list, but he will probably forget some. He jokes that he will read the list quickly so fans don’t interrupt him. “What!? What!?,” Vince jokes and fans respond with a few “What!?” chants.
Vince names Jimmy Snuka, Jake Roberts, Bret Hart, Giant Gonzalez, King Kong Bundy, Diesel/Kevin Nash, Sid, Kane, Big Boss Man, Brian Lee or Taker himself, Ric Flair, Big Show, Bill Goldberg, Rey Mysterio, Mark Henry, Kama, The Great Khali, Mabel, Yokozuna, Bray Wyatt, AJ Styles, Roman Reigns, Bret Hart again, JBL, Booker T, Kamala, Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Goldust, Vader, The Ultimate Warrior, Hulk Hogan, Shane McMahon, Shawn Michaels, Randy Orton, Batista, Edge, Brock Lesnar, Triple H, Steve Austin, John Cena, and The Rock. Just to name a few, he adds, and there was one name I missed there. Vince says there were some other challenges outside of the ring, like the time they were shooting Shotgun Saturday Night. He recalls how they didn’t get permits back then, and jaded New Yorkers were shocked at the sight of Taker and Triple H fighting in the subway station. Or the time Taker spent 5 hours in a cemetery under freezing weather, waiting to get the right shot. Vince recalls a (more…)
